Spring Break 72
March 2016
In the spirit of the 48 Hour Film Project, NSC hosted its first annual Spring Break 72, in which students write, shoot, and edit a film in 72 hours. Fun (if not sleep) was had by all, as students made a great little film about an actor who taps into a darker method.

Creating an explosion that was safe, utilized available materials, and produced some good flames was a challenge. Visual Media students and faculty collaborated with faculty and students from Chemistry, Physics, and Math to engineer a reliable ignition system and an explosion that looked good on film. |

Zombies!
May 2014
The upcoming short film Red Angel Dragnet, a collaboration between faculty and students, has been in the works for months. From hammering out the script during the Intro to Screenwriting course in the Fall, to studying zombie origins and films in the Film Genre course, to an entire course dedicated to learning production roles specifically aimed at producing Red Angel Dragnet, there's been a lot of preparation, and a lot of anticipation. Students and our actors gave up a couple of weekends and put in many hours of hard work, and it's paying off as the edit comes together.
